PALILULA MUNICIPALITY IN `VECERNJE NOVOSTI` NEWSPAPER

Reconstruction of classrooms and school building of Primary School "Branko Miljkovic" in Nis, after months of preparatory works, finally began. The works are performed by the construction company from Leskovac. With trilateral agreement, which was signed in mid-November in the Ministry of Economy of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, with the contractors, the deadline for the completion of this investment is 180 calendar days. Half of the funds for this purpose, totaling just over 51 million, provided by the City of Niš, while the other half of the funds is to provide the relevant ministry. Palilula Municipality in the cooperation with parents, management and members of the Council of school "Branko Miljkovic" in Nis, actively participated in the creation of conditions to finally solve this problem. Due to financial problems and changes in the project plan, the works began after more than two years of waiting, which caused the special organization of teaching in the school.

President of Palilula Boban Džunić, with his associates, on this occasion, visited the school "Branko Miljkovic" so to see himselg how the progress is done. The Municipality partly funded the rehabilitation of the old school and at the moment new investment is ongoing - said president Džunić. Thanks to the cross-border project "Strengthening territorial cohesion in the border region through the development of social infrastructure in the field of sport" and the financial support of the EU in school "Branko Miljkovic", will be built skate park, gym and outdoor artificial rock. For this project of CBC, for arranging sports school, which is realized in partnership with the Municipality Berkovica in Bulgaria, the municipality of Palilula in 2015 will allocate about 100,000 euros.

Teaching in School "Branko Miljkovic" in Nis attended this year by over 900 students, will be in six months normalized and will be returned to school two shifts work, because, since according to the school director Miroslav Stanic, works on the construction of nine new classrooms, are for now successfully done.
